Hi there,
When youre feeling low it can be really hard to tell someone - but sharing your feelings with someone else can really help.
It can be normal to go through times when you feel more sad than normal. If these sad feelings are making you hate your life or have gone on for a long time then its important that you get help. It's a really good idea to talk to someone who can help you with how youre feeling.
You might want to firstly talk through your feelings with a ChildLine counsellor. They can help you explore your sadness and perhaps whats led up to you feeling this way. They can also look at ways for you to cope with how youre feelings and what options you may have to get some help.
One idea would be to talk to your doctor about how youve been feeling. Your doctor should listen to you and talk through any treatment options available to you. You might feel a little worried about making an appointment and going to see the doctor alone, so perhaps you could take a family member or close friend. Its also a good idea to feel prepared before you appointment by thinking about what you want to say. You could make some notes and even take them with you. Docready is a useful website which can help to prepare this.
Or you could talk to a teacher that you trust at school. Some schools have school counsellors and arranging to talk things through with them can really help.
Whatever you do, you deserve to get support with these feelings and dont have to go through this alone. Remember, you can always talk to a ChildLine counsellor.
Take care
Sam

You can ask me about anything you want, there's nothing too big or small. I read every single letter but I can only answer a few each week. My replies are published here on my page.
